Week 7: Signal Conditioning

Date: 03/09/2019 - 06/09/2019

Amplification
After observing the output from the sound sensor, the output voltage was not be so high which is around milli volt probably. A simple transistor voltage amplifier had been constructed and required to raise up the output to a level that can be detected.

Schematic diagram
The circuit had been test and the output had been observed by using oscilloscope to differentiate the signal before and after amplification of sound signal from infusion therapy device.

From the oscilloscope result, the yellow signal represent the raw signal and the blue signal is the signal after amplification. The circuit amplify about 3V of the input signal. Besides, the amplifier circuit does not effect the frequency detected by the sensor and the reading is more stable.
