Week 10: Prototype Design

During this week, the prototype had been design and last preparation for final year project 2 exhibition day presentation had been done.

1. Prototype
The prototype had been design in small size (lenght: 15.5cm, height: 7.5cm & wide: 4cm) as it is compatible to be attach on medical device chassis.

2. Programming
The frequency is set into a few range depends on the value that had been read by uno as per setting in coding



3. Final result
As the final result, end user will receive notification about the audible alarm through telegram application.

Type of infusion therapy units involved:
i. Terumo TE-331
ii. Terumo TE-171
iii. B.Braun Infusomat

Date: 23/09/2019 - 27/09/2019 As per objective of this project, I will focus on the infusion therapy device which will include also the volumetric infusion pump not only the syringe pump. An additional data collection had been done between difference model of infusion therapy device which this time focused on volumetric infusion pump. 1. But the problem of volumetric device is the audible alarm for each error is all the same. 2. Terumo TE-171 https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1mZcRIh57XiFtFqq_LHoksaEh6C1ZOhuG?usp=sharing The audible alarm frequency of this device is 4.167kHz. This device also have only one type of audible alarm for all error.

Week 5: WiFi module interfacing

Date: 19/08/2019 - 23/08/2019 During this week, I had done a study and testing on how to interface the WiFi module with the server and my smartphone. The compatibility of the NodeMCU ESP8266 WiFi module Amica had been observed.  1. Download the library for ESP8266 WiFi in Arduino software. The address for the library can be found through Google > Arduino website > Arduino forum/community. 2. Arduino programming The WiFi module had been successful connected with server when "WiFi connected" and "Ready" message appear on serial monitor (arduino software). Overall NodeMCU ESP8266 wifi module is compatible and can be operate as per commands.
